How to Clean Limestone
Collect your supplies – You will need a bucket, soap, water, broom, vacuum cleaner, mop, and soft cloths.
Remove debris and dirt – Use a broom and/or vacuum cleaner to remove dirt and debris from the flooring. Be careful not to damage the stone with the vacuum; it helps if you do not use the spinning brush. A soft cloth and vacuum attachments will help remove debris from other areas, such as feature walls.
Clean with soap and water – Warm water with two or three tablespoons of soap is all you need. Ensure that you do not use a cleanser with a high pH that could damage your Texas limestone in Oklahoma or other limestone choices. Mop your floors or use a sponge or cloth on different surfaces to restore your stone’s luster.
Rinse – Rinse the soap off with a clean mop or cloth.
